OSU Extension is working with Lincoln County School District to support school garden projects and nutrition education.

In January 2020 the Lincoln County School District, in partnership with OSU Extension, was awarded a grant from Oregon Department of Education for $128,000 for school garden and nutrition education efforts at Yaquina View Elementary School and Newport Middle School for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years.

In May 2020 OSU Extension was awarded a grant from Oregon Department of Education for $10,000 to provide hands-on edible garden education for students and families at Eddyville Charter School in the 2020-2021 school year. Take a look at the kits that will be coming out.
