Kindergarten Hybrid will begin October 12 and October 13!
In an effort to prepare, we want to make you aware of the three schooling options for kindergarten that you will have once hybrid begins.
- Students in our hybrid model will receive 2 days of in-person instruction at Yaquina View and 2 days of live instruction at home via Zoom.
- We will also continue to have a YV Virtual School (also known as CDL) option. Students in the YV Virtual School option will not come to Yaquina View, but will receive 4 days of live instruction via Zoom. This is a continuation of what we are doing now.All instruction will continue to be provided by our kindergarten team.
- Wednesday will continue to be a day for video instruction and SeeSaw assignments only for both hybrid and YV Virtual School.
- Edmentum also remains available as an online option.
Tomorrow, Friday, October 2nd, is the deadline to make the change to/from Edmentum until the next window opens in November.
There will be an informational meeting on Monday, October 5th at 5:00PM-6:00PM in English and 6:00PM-7:30PM in Spanish and Mam. We recommend ALL kindergarten families come to the meeting to learn more. If you are unable to attend, a recording of the meeting and meeting slides will be available on our website following the meetings.
En un esfuerzo de preparar, queremos hacerles saber sobre las tres opciones de escuela que tienen para el kínder cuando empieza el híbrido.
- Los estudiantes en nuestro modelo híbrido van a recibir 2 días de instrucción en persona en la escuela Yaquina View y 2 días instrucción en vivo en casa por Zoom.
- Continuaremos tener la opción de escuela virtual de Yaquina View (también conocida como CDL). Los estudiantes en la opción de escuela virtual de Yaquina View no vendrán al edificio de Yaquina View, pero recibirán 4 días de instrucción en vivo por Zoom. Viernes, el 2 de octubre, es la fecha límite para cambiar a/de Edmentum hasta la próxima ventana abre en noviembre.
Habrá una reunión de información el lunes, el 5 de octubre desde las 5:00 a las 6:00 de la tarde en inglés y desde las 6:00 a 7:30 de la tarde en español y mam. Recomendamos que TODAS las familias de kínder vengan a la reunión para aprender más. Si no pudieren asistir, una grabación de las reuniones y diapositivas estarán disponibles en el sitio de la red del distrito después de las reuniones.
