LCSD Nutrition Services is hosting a Newport area school garden tour on Friday, June 30. This free event includes tours of Newport Middle, Newport High and Yaquina View Elementary School gardens. There will be take home activities as well as some delicious garden tastings including fruit salsa and smoothies, cauliflower potato salad, herb bread, cucumber mint water, shrimp ceviche, and lavender lemonade.
Check-in is at Newport Middle at 12:45 p.m. Participants will travel to Yaquina View by bus at 1 p.m. followed by NHS at 1:45 and NMS at 2:30 p.m.
